NEW state-of-the-art technology has made Okehampton's NatWest branch one of the most up to date in the country.

The branch has been fitted with new state-of-the-art technology, enabling staff to interact with customers in an entirely different way than before.

The branch held a relaunch party on December 4, to coincide with Edwardian Evening. Customers were able to take a tour of the new layout, experience the branch's new iPads and take advantage of free wifi.

The news is even more welcome with the announced closures of both North Tawton and Chagford's NatWest branches.

Donna Edmonds, NatWest local CEO for Exeter and North Devon, said: 'This is really positive news. When we make the difficult decision to close branches, we make sure that the nearest alternative branch is well equipped, like the newly refurbished branch here.'

Okehampton branch manager Graham Dunn said: 'We are so lucky to have received this major investment in Okehampton and are now ready and able to help our customers to undertake their banking in a way that most suits their everyday needs.'
