Tavistock Swimming Club's younger swimmers travelled to Exmouth for a friendly gala. They faced tough opposition from Exmouth, Kingsbridge, Dawlish, Newton Abbot and Ilfracombe, with four of these teams in divisions higher than them. First places for Tavistock were achieved by the boys U10 team of Jordan Channon, Pete Jarman, Matt Adams and Harry Thompson in both their freestyle and medley relays. This was replicated by the boys U11 team of Kris Chapman, Cameron McGurk, Matt Adams and Kieran Rookes. Kris Chapman also won the individual 11/U freestyle. Competing for the club for the first time were Maddie Benyon, Rhys Merriott and Kate Pilkington. The final points were Kingsbridge 230, Exmouth 222, Dawlish 210, Newton Abbot 181, Ilfracombe 161 and Tavistock 154. Swimmers competing (with number of personal best times in brackets) were Matt Edwards (2), Charlotte Mellor (2), Kameron Brimble (1), Harriet Edwards (1), Hannah Greep (1), Cameron McGurk (1), Kieran Rookes (1), Alexandra Stoecker, (1), Elizabeth Teague (1), Harry Thompson (1), Emily Adams, Matt Adams, Beth Benyon Maddie Benyon, Abigail Best, Jordan Channon, Caitlin Chapman, Kris Chapman, Rebecca Eldridge, Anna Germon, Bel Germon, Pete Jarman, Rhys Merriott, Kate Pilkington, Ella Waddington, David Watkins and Francesca White.
