A TEENAGE boy was rescued from a first floor window after a kitchen fire broke out at a semi-detached house in Hatherleigh.
Okehampton and Hatherleigh firefighters were called out to a ground floor kitchen fire in Park Road, Hatherleigh.
The fire crew were called to the chip pan fire on Tuesday at 5.30pm.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters who used breathing apparatus, as the house was heavily
smoke-logged.
The boy was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
l A car and caravan overturned on the A30, westbound at Sourton Cross, around midday on Saturday.
Traffic was tailed back for around an hour while Okehampton firefighters removed the car and caravan from the dual carriageway.
The occupants of the car were unhurt following the accident.
