NEWS has just reached the Exeter Phoenix that hot UK band Boy Kill Boy has added one more date to their European Tour and will be coming to Devon for one night only this autumn! With a string of sell out shows and hit singles behind them and the backing of Radio 1, XFM and the NME, 2007 is certainly set to be Boy Kill Boy's year. Formed out of the ashes of various groups, East London's Boy Kill Boy's first major break came in May 2005 when the band stepped in at the last minute to replace another band on the NME New Music Tour 2005. Boy Kill Boy had only been billed to play one support slot on the whole tour but due to popular demand they ended up playing numerous extra slots, supporting Maximo Park and The Rakes. The band went on to gain ground with their explosive performances as the opening band on the Radio 1 stage of the 2005 Reading Festival. Boy Kill Boy's new single 'Shoot Me Down' came out last week and includes the band's cover of Nelly Furtado's 'Maneater' as performed on Jo Whiley's Live Lounge. Catch Boy Kill Boy's only Devon date at the Exeter Phoenix on December 9 at 8pm. Tickets £12.50. Box office 01392 667080.
