Roborough v Okehampton
OKEHAMPTON gained their third win of the season at Roborough on Saturday, with a good knock from Nick Goodchild of 46 runs and good support from Brimacombe on 20 runs.
Okehampton lost their first wicket on 9 runs when Andy Luxton was dismissed for two. Then there came a little stand of 43 between Nick Goodchild and Andy Brint before Andy Brint was out for 8 runs.
With the score at 52 Okehampton lost five more wickets. But with A Brimacombe scoring a good 20 runs they closed their innings on 121 for 9 wickets.
Roborough's fast bowlers were M Hopkins 11-6-19-2 and Barnicott 9-0-24-3.
Roborough lost their first 3 wickets for 20 runs. B Gaylard batted well for his 32 and was out with the score at 64 for 5 wickets.
M Hopkins had a good knock of 41 going out with the score on 110 for 7 wickets and needing 10 more runs for victory.
But Okehampton's bowling force of Neil Clift, Andy Mortimore and Martin Furniss were not going to let victory slip from them and bowled Roborough out for 115 to gain victory by 6 runs.
