CONSERVATIVE C took West Devon A to a final frame decider in their KO Cup semi-final in the Tavistock Social Club snooker.
Heathman gave West Devon the early lead only for Bassett to play his best frame of the season to oust 'danger man' Kevin Rich to draw Conservative C level.
Lillicrap was no match for resurgent Emptage as West Devon edged ahead again.
Back came Conservative with a sparkling display from Andrews to square the match with one frame to go. West Devon's Hawke was in no mood for messing with some powerful potting and riding his luck at times, outgunned Ewings who gave it his best. For the second year running West Devon booked their place in the final with hopes of lifting the shield this year.
Across the square another 'battle royal' was unfolding between Royal British Legion and the West Devon B team. Favourites RBL were stunned as West Devon B took a two frame lead with Bath and Roger Rich giving their team a dream start. Grylls stopped the rot for RBL with a convincing win over Gilchrist, with Ryall restoring parity with another sound win over John Rich.
Wood then 'brought home the bacon' for Legion with a comfortable win over Smith to set up their slot in the final against West Devon A.
