HORRABRIDGE Primary and Nursery School’s Baby and Toddler Group received a welcome boost recently with a donation of £250 from 42 Commando’s Warrant Officer and Sergeants Mess RM, Bickleigh.

A cheque was presented to the group by PO Andy Collins whose wife, Sharon, helps to run the group and whose children attend the school and nursery.

The group is run by volunteers in support of families in the community. The money will be put towards buying play equipment, in particular a new play kitchen and an indoor sand and water tray.

For those living in the village and those further afield, should spaces be available, the group runs two sessions at Horrabridge School on Mondays during term time, 9-10.15am and 10.30-11.45am.

They are a friendly, welcoming group who pride themselves on offering family, parenting and early years support, always alongside a good cuppa and slice of cake.
