ON a blustery, drizzly Saturday the men?s invitation competition got under way, with a good entry braving the weather.

The winners with 44 points and winning on the back 9 were M Wonnacott and P Nolan. The runners up, also with 44 points, were J Mansell and I Chenery. Third with 42 points were P Denning and N Whittaker on the last 9 from J Haslem and N Chard, who were fourth.
