A FOUR-BALL better ball stableford was held at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday in blustery conditions.

Results — 1, M Battishill and I Moore with an excellent score of 47 points off low handicaps, winning on the back 9 from A Cook and C Hurley, also low handicaps.

Third were R Prouse and B Fishleigh, 46 points.

On Sunday an adult junior foursomes stableford was held in which 12 pairs took part.

Results — 1, D Owen and M Cooper, 41 points; 2, I Bruce and D Bruce, 38 points.

This week's competition is a men's medal for the M G Rover qualifier.

On Friday the Okehampton Mail on Sunday team beat Ilfracombe at home in the fourth round. The match ended all square at two points each. This resulted in G Holt winning on the first extra play off hole.
