PRINCETOWN firefighters were last week called to a house fire at a property with a slate roof in the village. One crew from Princetown attended the scene just after 6.45pm on Tuesday, December 4 and discovered the fire had spread to the first floor joists. They requested a second crew from Yelverton for additional help. The fire was located in a first floor bedroom and involved clothing and floor joists. A thermal imaging camera, small tools and a dry powder extinguisher were used to ensure the fire was extinguished.
