A HORSE box lorry containing 20 bales of hay was severely damaged by fire last Wednesday (November 16) while stationed on a farm in Highampton.
One crew from Hatherleigh attended just before 3.30pm and requested two more appliances, which were mobilised from Okehampton.
The fire involved one horse box, containing hay and a 5kg propane gas cylinder. The vehicle and contents were severely damaged but the gas cylinder was removed to open air before it was involved in the fire.
