IN all the publicity given to West Devon's new recycling scheme, no-one seems to have noticed the safety hazards.

The new boxes are unwieldy, needing both hands to carry, it's easy to trip when vision is obscured and many people need to use a stick.

Bins are not to be put outside till after 5.30 when it's dark.

West Devon's aim is to increase recycling yet they make it very difficult.
