A FUNDRAISING bingo evening organised by South Zeal Youth Club last month has raised a splendid £250 to boost club funds.

The popular club, which meets every Tuesday at the Victory Hall, now has around 30 members but has been struggling financially after investing in much-needed equipment.

Member Natasha Ley said the club was very grateful to everyone who supported the bingo evening.

She said: ?We had a lot of donations and everyone worked so hard to make it a success ? we just felt we had to say thank you.?

Natasha said the next fundraising event for the club would be a quiz night at The Kings Arms in South Zeal on Sunday February 2 at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Teams of four are welcome to join the fun ? it costs £6 per team to enter and there will be prizes for the first, second and third places.

All proceeds will go to the youth club.
