MEMBERS of the Tavistock Musical Theatre Company are all looking forward to the 'exciting' programme organised for the coming year.
Following a successful production of 'Mack and Mabel', the company has chosen 'Sweet Charity' as its major production this coming autumn.
Rehearsals will start in the spring when the company will be searching for a leading lady to portray Charity Hope Valentine — a glamorous hostess portrayed in the film by Shirley Maclean.
As a new venture in January next year, the company will be staging a full-scale pantomime for a week's run at The Wharf, Tavistock, and members hope that this could be a permanent feature over the coming years.
New younger members will also be sought and full details will be announced later in the year.
In the meantime the company is looking for a new resident rehearsal pianist and anyone who can help should contact Julian Bennett on 01822 615075 for more information.
