THE third Big Lunch was held at Princetown Community Centre on Sunday, June 1. The event was a true community event with local organisations including the High Moorland WI, Princetown Charity Shop, Princetown Youth Club and the Rotary Club of Yelverton supporting the Community Centre committee to raise funds. A range of stalls, a coconut shy, candy floss, bouncy castle, face painting and the dog show, sponsored by Tavistock Pet Emporium, bar and barbecue provided fun and entertainment for all ages. The star attraction was the food cooked and donated by the members of Princetown Youth Club — awarded a 'Michelin Star' by visitors from Venville House Residential Home. Organisers of the event expressed thanks to all who helped and to those who joined in the celebrations.
