YOUNGSTERS from the Okehampton and Hatherleigh Children Centre ‘had a giggle’ as they took part in a charity event called The Giant Wiggle.
The Action for Children initiative is a fun-filled sponsored event which aims to raise funds for disadvantaged children.
The event takes inspirations from popular children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It involves storytelling, arts and crafts as well as a caterpillar conga line.
Last week, children from the Okehampton and Hatherleigh Children Centre and children from the Stepping Stones nursery came together for the event held at Fairplace Church in Okehampton.
Chrissy Read, of the Okehampton and Hatherleigh Children Centre, said: ‘It was a lovely day. The children took part in lots of fun activities and also got to go outside to the park to have a little wiggle and a giggle!’
