President Stuart Munday helped get Tavistock Cricket Club get off to a great opening for the season after he helped the club secure two important grants. Stuart was successful with negogiating with environment agency Biffa for a £5,000 BIFFAWARD which will go towards a new all weather wicket for the club's ever increasing number of Colts.  The new wicket will be fitted shortly to replace one that is many years old. Stuart has also secured a grant for £8,000 from the English Cricket Board towards a new roller to replace the club's existing one, which is pre-Second World War.  The club are looking forward to the new season led by the tried and tested Steve Luffman as the new captain.   New players include opening bowler Steven Dembitzer from South Africa and top young batsman Gareth Tidball from Hatherleigh.  Stuart's personal tip for promotion this year is Bovey Tracey who have former Plympton fast bowler Imran Ali in their squad.
