A PROPOSAL to remove of six metres of hedging to provide a new driveway at a Meldon farm is being recommended for refusal by Dartmoor National Park?s planning committee.
The application to remove the hedge at Mews Cottage Farm was considered during a site inspection at the farm recently. Officers have recommended refusal on the grounds that the hedge removal and subsequent driveway would be detrimental to the character of this part of the national park.
The committee will make its decision on the application tomorrow (Friday).
