OKEHAMPTON and Tavistock TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Clubs sent a team to the British Championships in Nottingham. The 25th anniversary of the TAGB saw a brilliant turn-out with more than 1,700 competitors taking part.
The team were Dana Jenkins, Carol Overton, Mitch Wright, Kalmara Jordan, Adam Clarke, Garry Letheren, Ewan Miller, Anna Hudson, Dan Hunt, Daisy Brand, Remi Moody, Rhodri Hughes, Hannah Bevis and Instructor Will Paine.
Everyone did exceptionally well, with several narrowly missing out on medals.
The successes of the day were Adam Clarke, Ewan Miller, Daisy Brand, and Remi Moody who all collected bronze medals for their respective tag team sparring events, and also Anna Hudson who received a bronze medal for her indiviual sparring.
The highlights of the day, however, were the wonderful acheivements of Hannah Bevis and Mitch Wright who both came away British champions in their pattern events, with outstanding performances.
