THE FOOTsteps dancers of Okehampton have excelled themselves again, with many passing dancing exams and taking part in the town's jubilee celebrations.

After a year of hard work, 35 of the dancers passed their latest set of ISTD dance exams, from grade one to grade six in jazz, modern and tap dance.

The dancers also dazzled the crowds at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Simmons Park, with 86 performers taking part in a complicated routine that saw more than 40 of the dancers merge into the crowd.

The dance school runs classes in Okehampton and Yelverton for all ages. Established in 2004, FOOTsteps has a strong record of helping pupils pass their ISTD exams, and has a range of classes available.

FOOTsteps principal Mandy Bailey expressed her thanks to the dancers for all their hard work, and family and friends for their ongoing support.
