PLAYING top side Altarnun, Bere showed their fighting spirit. Good passing and pressure led to Ben Rushall sweeping home from six yards.
Altarnun responded immediately when a Bere defender slipped and Horsley stole the ball to fire home.
Bere continued to press but got caught again not clearing the ball and Trynor stole in to score.
Bere surged forward to peg Altarnun back and after good passing Steve Vanstone scored from ten yards.
More pressure saw Ian Crabb weave into the box to be tripped and Mark Wheeler slot home the penalty.
The second half was played at a great pace. Bere pushed Altarnun back. Only two outstanding saves kept Will Westlake and Ben Rushall from adding to the score.
As Altarnun weathered the storm they came back and Bere had to defend firmly to secure all three points.
