PUPILS from Okehampton Primary School took part in a themed Dinner Day last week.
Plans started early with a selection of pupils from Hart Tor visiting the kitchen the day before to help prepare and cook Italian garlic and rosemary flatbreads.
With the Italian flag flying high over the school on Thursday morning, excitement grew as bunting and balloons went up and lovely Mediterranean cooking smells wafted from the kitchen throughout the morning.
Pupils enjoyed seeing the kitchen staff dressed up as giant pizzas while they served the Italian themed food along with the flatbreads.
The Mediterranean theme concluded on Friday with pupils from Feather Tor enjoying their lunch together with their teacher on the top table as every child in their class ordered an Italian school dinner.
