A SIXTH-form student from Tavistock College is the first ever winner of a new category for the Institute of Direct Marketing. Becky Ames was announced the winner of best individual entry at a special awards ceremony at the Museum of Brands, Advertising and Packaging in West London. More than 4,500 sixth form schools across the UK were supplied with marketing materials for the IDM?s national competition. The judges were so impressed by the quality of entries from Tavistock College that the individual entry category was added. Winning this award is a perfect start for Becky who hopes to begin her degree at the University of Plymouth in Business and Marketing. After she was presented with an I-POD and money for the college, Becky said she was ?delighted? to put all she had learned in A-level business studies into an ?interesting project?. Runners-up in the new category were Jenny Ward and Laura Tear from the college who both received music vouchers and a USB key.
