BEAVER Scouts from West Devon, in partnership with South West Lakes Trust, spent a morning at Burrator Reservoir recently, planting 25 trees in celebration of their 25th anniversary.

Around 40 children between the ages of six and eight joined in the fun during one of three events planned this year to celebrate the 25th birthday of the Beaver Scout section as part of the scout movement. Other activities included a wildlife walk, scout based games and wildlife identification games.

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.
