STUDENTS at Callington Community College are hoping to make the residents of the town more beautiful with the launch of public beauty therapy treatments. The college has been expanding its range of vocational courses and has recently added beauty therapy. Year 12 students who are studying for an NVQ2 in the subject will be carrying out the treatments, which will be conducted professionally along with guidance and support. The Beauty College will be unleashing itself to the public on Thursday January 25, offering the treatments at a small charge. These will be available by appointment every Thursday and there will be two sessions, the first at 9am and the second at 10.30am. The treatments available at the unisex salon include facials, lash, brow tinting and brow shaping. Products used will be available at specially discounted prices to purchase. A spokesperson for the college said the students had been working hard since September and were demonstrating some strong skills, and local support would be much appreciated.
