THE Belstone annual dawn chorus walk around the parish takes place on Sunday May 8 to coincide with the early spring arrivals.

Birds like chiffchaffs, willow warblers and blackcaps have already arrived, and the walk is a fantastic opportunity to see and hear these and other birds.

The walk leaves Belstone Village Hall at 5.30am, proceeding through Priestacott woods and out into the East Okement valley, before climbing past the Nine Maidens stone circle and then arriving back into Belstone at around 8am.

Upon arrival back to the village hall, a breakfast of cereal, bacon rolls, cheese scones and hot drinks will be available.

There is a suggested donation of £2 for the walk and £5 for the walk and breakfast. All donations will be gratefully received and go toward the village hall funds.

Walking boots are recommended.?No dogs are allowed.
