BATS Badminton Club are looking forward to the new season with high hopes of improving on last year?s excellent showing.
After both teams were promoted the year before, BATS A team missed out, by one point, on promotion from division 3 to division 2 and BATS B team consolidated their position in division 4.
Both teams play in the Plymouth and District Badminton League. BATS are looking to strengthen their squad of players this season and if anyone is interested in playing then they should either contact Heather Cooper on (01822 854843) or come along on a Thursday at 7pm to the club at Bere Alston Primary School.
Two local junior badminton clubs have places for young people to begin to play and learn about badminton. Both are run by qualified BAofE coaches and coach youngsters from absolute beginners to junior county standard.
Both clubs have produced players who have gone on to represent Devon at all junior levels,with some players now challenging for places in the adult county teams.
