NINE travel journalists from Austria and Switzerland visited Dartmoor recently, ahead of the release of the new Sherlock Holmes film in December.
The journalists were treated to a guided tour and a walk on the moor as part of the 'Baskerville Dining Experience', before experiencing a light-hearted Victorian night at Laughter Hole House near Postbridge, re-living the story of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
A spokesman for The Baskerville Experience said London and Dartmoor were the destinations expected to benefit from increased visitor numbers, and journalists from around the world had been descending on Devon to write about its collection of stories, myths and legends, as well as its connection with the most famous detective of all time.
