A PROTEST banner against wind turbines, measuring 10ft by 3ft, was stolen from Milton Abbot on Saturday night.

The banner was ripped off the outside wall of Carol and Keith Bennett's property opposite the village hall on Saturday night.

Commissioned by the local group against wind turbines MABRAKE, the banner says 'No to 220ft wind turbines in Milton Abbot' and cost members £90.

Mrs Bennett said the banner was in a very prominent position and could be seen by everyone driving through the village.

'We are entitled to our own opinion and the banner was on our property,' she said. 'If someone disagrees they can put up their own sign, not steal ours.'
