AN APPEAL is being made for a stolen banner advertising Tavistock Carnival to be returned. The banner, which was situated at the end of the Meadows wall facing Crowndale Road in Tavistock, disappeared sometime on Friday or Saturday. It was promoting the carnival and the fun day organised by Tavistock Lions and measures 3m x 1m. Lions spokesman Steve Grummitt said: ?Unless we get this banner back we will be using charity money to buy another one next year so I would appeal to anyone who knows its whereabouts to call me.?
