SOUNDHOUSE Brass, a band ?going from strength to strength?, will be appearing at the United Reformed Church in Tavistock?s Russell Street next week.

The band, formerly known as the Royal British Legion Crownhill (Plymouth) Band, has now severed its links with the Legion and is based at Estover Community College.

The band gave a very popular concert at the church in Russell Street last year and The Rev Roger Cornish said the church was ?very fortunate? to have secured a second performance in Tavistock.

Mr Cornish said: ?Not only has the band found a new home, it seems to be going from strength to strength.

?The church is very grateful to the band who are giving this concert without any charge, so that every penny raised from ticket sales will go to the building fund.?

Soundhouse Brass performs at 7.45pm on Friday March 21.

Tickets are available priced £4 from Book Stop in Market Street.

Other concerts lined up at the church later this year include the Porthpyra Singers on April 11 and Saltash Town Band on May 30.
