Ball has been cancelled — but the raffle still takes place

THE Pink Ball which was due to be held in Tavistock this month has been cancelled owing to the present financial situation.

Prizes donated to the Cancer Research's Pink Ball by local firms and individuals are now to be prizes for a Pink Raffle which will be drawn on Friday, October 31 at the charity's stall in Tavistock's Pannier Market.

Prizes include tickets to Plymouth Argyle, £200 holiday voucher, tea for two at the House of Commons with West Devon and Torridge MP Geoffrey Cox, and 17 equally generous prizes.

l A coffee morning has been organised for Saturday, November 8 by Cancer Research along with a quiz on Wednesday, November 26 both in the parish centre.
