A TAVISTOCK veterinary nurse, who is running the London Marathon for the first time in April, is holding a bake sale to raise funds.

Jo Clue from Westmoor Vets has a target to raise £2,000 for the Samaritans before she reaches the start line.

To help get her started she will be selling cakes at the practice throughout the day on March 1.

Jo chose to support the Samaritans after seeing the help the charity had given to friends.

She is currently in training for the marathon and completed a half-marathon last year in Plymouth.
