THE Lambs welcomed back Sean Cann form a lengthy injury and suspension with Mark Wall returning to first team duty.
Tavistock?s keeper came in for some heavy challenges in the opening minutes and had to receive treatment on two occasions.
The Lambs were more than a match for their opponents two leagues higher in the pyramid system in the opening stages but they found themselves a goal down after 20 minutes.
Cann was penalised for a foul just outside the area and Danny Hunt was allowed to rifle the free kick past the wall and a crowd of defenders to hit the back of the net.
Wall went close when Barwell?s free kick was partially cleared after 35 minutes. Meeds tipped over a rasping shot from Steve Bridges before Darren Halfyard?s cross found Paul Adcock to shoot across goal only to see it cleared off the line. It ended with Brislington breaking away very quickly resulting in Alan Yendall penalised for a foul in the area on Twaine Plummer for James Turner to score from the spot.
The Lambs still kept going at their opponents and 2 minutes later Will Westlake was put in by Paul Adcock but his first touch let him down with the ball running onto Ollis for an easy collect.
A couple of chances in the first half with the Lambs out of luck and it deserted them 5 minutes into the second as Barwell?s twisting run in the area saw his shot beat Ollis but come back off the base of the upright.
On the hour it was the visitors? turn to have some bad luck as Turner?s shot hit the top of the bar after a Chris Honor free kick and with 20 minutes remaining Adcock did well to control a Duthie cross only to see his overhead kick hit the top netting.
Meeds did well to tip over a Bridges effort with 15 minutes remaining but the Lambs could not break through to set up tight finish and in the end could not complain about the result.
A good all round performance by the Lambs who did not disgrace themselves against a Brislington side full of experience.
