Ordulph 2

Horrabridge 0

ORDULPH continued their impressive start to the season. Andy Bacon made his Ordulph debut against the club they signed him from. The home side opened the scoring after a deep cross by Phillpott's Bacon arrived at the back post to head home.

Horrabridge put the hosts under a bit of pressure without ever looking like scoring. Ordulph thought they killed the visitors off late in the first half as Ben Stephens neatly finish a good move only to be flagged offside.

Early in the second half Ordulph keeper Ash Woodrow made a good save, diving low to beat out a header; on the counter attack Rob Allan found Ben Stephens who held the ball up before laying it off to Phillpotts; he played in Anderson who neatly finished the move and the game.

The Ordulph should have scored more, however they will be happy to take six points off their closest rivals already this season.
