THE 13th Stowford Garden and Produce show was held on Saturday August 12. Mrs Eileen Warren welcomed everyone and introduced Donald Wooldridge who officially opened the show. Donald went to school in Stowford in the days when it had its own primary. He was delighted to open the show and congratulated the winners. The prizes were preented by Mr Wooldridge and Mrs Eileen Warren and Mrs Hilda Pengelly. The floral table arrangements were a delight to see. Handicrafts and patchwork and quilting showed the hard work put in by the exhibitors. Cookery was of the usual high standard, and the children?s classes were well entered.
