STAFF at Okehampton Hospital welcomed a newborn into the world on Christmas Day.

Jake Hooper was born at 1.19am to Matthew Payne and Charlotte Hooper of North Tawton, weighing 6lb and 3oz.

Jake is Matthew and Charlotte's third child together, joining brother and sister Jamie and Jessica.

The couple have expressed their thanks to everyone in the maternity unit at the hospital who helped deliver Jake.
