TAVISTOCK welcomed back Lee Beer who signed from Liskeard and he went straight into the side in defence. Andy Parnowski also made a welcome return after being out with an ankle injury and sat it out on the subs bench.

The Fishermen were the first to threaten when Charlie Legg got to the byline to cut the ball back but was then offside as he attempted to put it into the net.

The Lambs' best chance fell to midfield man Chris Gott when he clipped the ball over keeper Gary Penhaligan only for it to be headed off the line. Two minutes later Mark Wall had a rare chance to strike but his shot ballooned over the bar.

With just five minutes of the second half gone, Marcus Croker set up John Gosling but his shot flew across the face of the goal. Gott flashed another effort over the bar before the visitors took the lead with a great element of luck. Legg burst into the area but Darren Babb made a great tackle in to rob the striker. As he fell, Legg regained possession and his shot took a wicked deflection off Chris Kiely's ankle to leave Andy Meeds stranded.

In recent seasons that would have been enough for victory against the Lambs but there is a never-say-die attitude within the side now and they fought to the end. Two minutes into injury time they were level.

The ball was worked across the back for Gosling to send it goalwards and a defender only managed to glance it back towards his keeper. Penhaligan hesitated with Crocker and substitute Jeff Babb bearing down on him. Babb clashed with the keeper but got the final touch to send it into the net.

No one would have given the Lambs a chance before the game but they were well worth a share of the points.
