NEXT spring Tavistock Music and Arts Festival will reach its tenth birthday, and to help celebrate, the Tavonians Theatre will be presenting Ten Times Table, a brilliant comedy by Alan Ayckbourn.

Ali Fife, chair of the Tavonians, said the play was about a group of people organising an event, not a festival in this case but a re-enactment of an historical event. 'There the analogy most definitely ends, as in typical Ayckbourn style the ten organisers turn their meetings into a battleground and the event itself is pure chaos,' she said.

Casting for the production takes place next Thursday, November 15. Everyone is welcome to come along to this mixed play reading and audition session which will be in the Guide Hall at 7.30pm.

The plan is to present a semi-staged rehearsed reading of Ten Times Table at the Tavistock Festival on Friday, April 26, but it is also possible there could be a full production run in mid or late May. That will depend on the casting session next week, on whether or not a full cast will be available for a May production.

Anyone wanting to come to read the play or hear it being read, to audition for the rehearsed reading or audition for a full production in May, can just come along. For more information contact 0845 519 6592 or visit the website http://www.tavonians.org.uk">www.tavonians.org.uk
