THE Lambs welcomed back captain Nathan Blamey from a lengthy absence to slot into the back four and Mark Wall from suspension, with John Gosling and Simon Parnell having to sit on the bench to make way for Blamey and front man Paul Adcock.

The Lambs took the game to the home side and went into the lead on 13 minutes with a peach of a goal. Blamey put the ball upfield for Adcock to lay it into the path of Paul Smith - he caught it on the volley left-footed to give keeper Joey Syndercombe no chance as it flew into the top corner.

The home side flashed a header across goal two minutes later, then came a booking as Blamey was cautioned for taking too long with a free kick after just 20 minutes. The remainder of the half was played mostly in the centre of the park with neither side creating any worthwhile chance.

The home side got themselves level on the hour with a similar build up to the goal the Lambs had scored. Slack marking and tackling allowed former Lambs striker Andy Bowker to latch onto a through-ball to shoot across Andy Meeds into the far net off the post.

Ten minutes later the Lambs were back in front. John Hadjiyianni?s burst into the area saw him go tumbling. Had the referee hesitated with his whistle a goal would have been allowed as Adcock lashed the loose ball into the net, but he had

already awarded the penalty and up stepped Smith to smash home to get his second.

It became a bit heated with 15 minutes remaining as Gammon and Price went into the book for fouls on Hadjiyianni. The midfielder was also cautioned but replied instantly from the free kick as Richard Scarle set him up to shoot home to give the Lambs a good victory and haul then up to joint fifth in the table.
