OKEHAMPTON College?s Athletes have made a positive start to the new competition season with many individual and team successes in the first outings. At the Exeter and District Trials students were selected to represent the area in the match against East Devon on Thursday May 26. They are: Junior girls: Rebecca Cox (100m, hurdles and relay), Charlie Fewings (200m), Kim Davey (hurdles, high jump), Izzy Moore (high jump), Sam Robertson (javelin), Charlie Rowe (discus). Intermediate girls: Abbie Colton (800m), Scarlett Geering (800m), Sally McIntyre (discus), Rebecca Rowe (hurdles, relay). Junior boys: Alex Mcgregor (hurdles, long jump and relay), Luke Elsmore (1500m), Tom Gill (1500m), Rob Long (shot). In the first round of the English Schools Cup, the college won three out of the four competitions, beating such schools as Blundells on the way. The Junior girls, Junior boys and Intermediate Boys will now go through to the next round which will be held two weeks after half term. Junior Boys: Callum Ausden, Edwin Kendall, Matthew Webber, Robert Stepto, Luke Miller, Matthew Sanders, Darcy Heard, Owain Mortimore, Sam Appleby, Kevin Dennis, Jed Shilling, Tom Gill, David Smith, William Cork.
