A WEST Devon artist has been raising money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital this month, through a series of workshops held in London.
Laure Bury, from Mary Tavy, was invited to hold some creative workshops for adults and children to help raise funds for a new life-saving incubator at the famous children's hospital.
The driving force behind this project was six-year-old Issy who aims to raise £5,000.
Laure, who regularly exhibits with Art For Youth at the Royal College of Art, was asked by the exhibition co-ordinator Caitlin Mavroleon if she would volunteer her knowledge and art materials towards this project.
Laure was delighted to be asked and held workshops at the East India Docks and at Maggie & Rose in Kensington.
She said:?'I felt excited to be part of this project.
'It is heart-warming to see children as young as Issy reaching out to help others. It was also an opportunity for me to meet new people and teach some of my skills.'
Laure is known for her vibrant landscapes, seascapes and colour compositions with butterflies.
