IF you’re old enough to remember Rubik’s Cubes, shoulder pads, big poodle perms and ‘Frankie Says’ T-shirts then you’ll remember what fun times were had during the 80s on the music scene.
Kick up the 80s are gearing up to make a welcome return to The Wharf in Tavistock on Friday, February 24 and can always be relied on to provide plenty of fun.
The band love to dress up in bizarre 80s fashion – who could forget Kajagoogoo singer Limahl’s spikey hair, Boy George’s long plaited locks, or Adam Ant’s painted face.
They deliver a repertoire of songs that cover everything from Wet Wet Wet, Culture Club, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, The Jam, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and even some of the big haired rockers.
With tongue firmly in cheek, the party atmosphere is bolstered by ‘guest appearances’ from George Michael, Freddie Mercury and Bon Jovi to add to the party atmosphere guaranteed to keep everyone up dancing all night.
