ACCOMPLISHED artists Alan Clark and Nigel Pulley are to exhibit an eclectic exhibition of their work at Browns Hotel, Wine Bar and Brasserie in Tavistock, from Saturday until May 31.

'Watercolours of the west' embodies the striking styles of each artist with paintings depicting moorland scenes, seascapes and aspects of West Country life.

Local group 'Taviskate', who are raising funds for a skatepark in Tavistock will receive a donation from commission earned.

Alan Clark was educated at Southern College of Art, Bournemouth. After working in Nigeria for 20 years where he painted local people in their social settings, he is now retired and specialises in moorland subjects.

His paintings are in private collections all over the world.

Nigel Pulley specialises in tranquil watercolours of moor, sea and West Country life. He is a member of Plymouth Watercolour Society, and has enjoyed great success with both solo and joint exhibitions.

Martin Ball, General manager of Browns in Tavistock said: 'We are delighted to have two such interesting artists exhibiting at Browns, and are pleased to donate to a local youth project.

'It is essential for businesses to support the community. If we all do a little, a lot can be achieved.'
