TAVISTOCK College's annual exhibition is drawing in the crowds with A-grade artwork from talented students.

The exhibition showcases sculpture, photography, painting and mixed media artworks produced by some of the best GCSE and A-level students at the college.

A-level student James Brimble's photographs and paintings feature throughout the show, including a large piece of the Queen and a banknote which was chosen to advertise the exhibition.

'Getting a lot of my work included was a target from the outset,' he said.

'I like to produce lots because I feel more proud of myself and it's great having so much work selected.

'I'm inspired by everything; something as simple as a £20 note can become pretty inspiring because people don't normally view it as artwork. People like Andy Warhol and the Pop Art movement viewed everyday objects as art themselves.'

James, who is pictured right with his work, hopes to study architecture at university in Nottingham.

The exhibition is open to the public each day from 1.30pm to 2.30pm until tomorrow (Friday) in the Tavistock College Octagon. Pic by James Bird
