Okehampton Argyle U12s 2

St Martins U12s 3

Okehampton Argyle U12s were at home for their first match of the season in their new and much tougher league.

Opponents St Martins started brightly and within five minutes had secured a penalty which was dealt with by a great save from goalkeeper Aaron Dearing.

A great kick by Aaron started a counter attack and although a great save was made by the St Martin's keeper Ben Bickle was there to thump home the rebound.

Argyle had a goal disallowed before good play between Ben Bickle and Ross Voaden resulting in a second great goal from Ben Bickle.

In the second half St Martins caught Argyle napping with a quick goal.

This gave St Martins the confidence they needed and they pressurised Argyle and midway through the half drew level.

Both teams went after the winning goal. Super defensive work from Ben Jarvis prevented most of St Martins' attacks but eventually they pulled ahead when a good header found its way past the keeper. Argyle pushed hard for the equaliser but the match ended 3 –2.

Okehampton Argyle U11s 1

Exmouth U11s 6

OKEHAMPTON were a lot more settled and aware of positions this week, but were unlucky when Exmouth scored their first. Okehampton battled well, but at half-time found themselves 2-0 down.

The second half saw them stronger and more determined, with some great play and movement. Exmouth scored another two goals quite quickly. Okehampton goalkeeper Connor Kinelly kicked the ball for Tallon Burns to knock on over the defenders for Tomas Pearce to get Okehampton's first.

The final score didn't really give the true reading of the match.

Seaton U10s 2

Okehampton Argyle U10s 1

OKEHAMPTON started the game slowly and Seaton took the lead with two quick goals.

However, Argyle produced some good passing to bring themselves back into the game. Archie Frier hit the crossbar while Craig Pemberthy, Josh Arthurs and Ebby Vallance made sure that Seaton did not get another.

The second half saw good work from Kieran Coyle and Alex Morden feed striker Niall Leahy who hit the post. At the other end substitute keeper George Morgan did well. Okehampton finally got the goal they deserved when great passing from Josh and Alex put Niall through for a neat finish.
