South West Peninsula League Totnes & Dartington 3 Okehampton 0 ARGYLE cursed missed chances early in the game. In the first half of this game both sides created some good chances but it was Totnes that found the back of the net twice in a few minutes. The first was on 30 minutes from a poorly taken corner that somehow found its way to the back post and was unchallenged for an easy tap in; this was followed by another slack piece of play when Argyle wanted too long on the ball deep in their own half; the ball was stolen and squared across the box and the Totnes forward made to strike a powerful shot into the corner of the Argyle net. Okehampton were unlucky when Kinsey played a good ball to the back post and Robbie Clark volleyed a goal bound screamer that the Totnes keeper did well to tip over the crossbar. Argyle pressed and believed that if they could have pulled a goal back before the interval the game would be theirs for the winning but Totnes defended well and kept them at bay. Totnes started the better side in the second half and it was a while before Argyle were able to pin them back in their own half. Argyle did manage to get on top of their opponents on the hour mark and were unlucky once again when Steve Williams cut inside his marker and lifted the ball over the keeper only to see his effort come back off the foot of the Totnes post. Robbie Miller followed up but could only head the rebound over from close range. Okehampton made some changes towards the mid section of the second half and switched Robbie Sandercock for Matt Sanders. Then both coaches came on ? Stuart Cann for George Pitts and Neil Agnew for Elliott Collins. Argyle having to push forward were finally undone at the back and the Totnes right back broke clear to seal the points with a third goal in the 82nd minute. l Next week Okehampton Argyle are at home to Stoke Gabriel kicking off at 2.45pm.
