PLAYING on a small pitch Okehampton found it difficult to play their usual game.

Bideford took the lead halfway through the first half from a corner.

Okehampton equalised two minutes before half time with captain Robert Dunn scoring from just inside the 18-yard box.

The second half saw Okehampton take control with a second goal from Sam Appleby.

Keeping up the pressure on the Blues, Callum Ausden scored Okehampton's third. The fourth was an own goal.

It was a good all round team performance with four players winning the man of the match: Robert Dunn, Callum Ausden, Tom Wilson and Kieran Alford.

Sidmouth U11s 3

DURING the first ten minutes Sidmouth had control of the game and Okehampton's midfield and defence had to work hard.

Against the run of play Jordan Lee scored Okehampton's first goal with a low shot into the net. But the lead did not last long as Sidmouth equalised with a clear shot on goal and their second followed minutes later.

Okehampton's goalkeeper, Will Ingram, made several important saves to keep the score at 2-1 at half-time.

Sidmouth opened the second half in the same way they had started the match but Okehampton battled hard and were rewarded with a well taken goal by Jacob Ayris.

Both teams battled hard for control but a slip by Okehampton's keeper allowed Sidmouth to take the lead.

In the final minutes Harry Smith scored to level once more.
