MAY I through your paper remind your readers that the Chestnut Appeal for prostate cancer is still ongoing. Radio Devon did a great job in promoting this appeal over two years to raise £1-million. There are 21,000 new prostate cancer cases in the UK each year. Prostate cancer is the most common male-only cancer in the UK. The incidence of prostate cancer will increase by 47% by 2021. Prostate cancer can be treated effectively and new treatments are being evaluated all the time. Money is required for new and up-to-date equipment, and modern techniques to treat prostate cancer. To make a donation or to request a fundraising pack please call the office on 01752 792736. Mrs Lashbrook Tavistock
