SWIMMERS in the Tavistock area can now take advantage of the opportunity to swim outdoors, following the opening to the public of Tavistock Community Sports Centre's swimming pool.

The heated pool is open on weeknights (except Wednesdays) for adults only from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

The pool is open on Saturdays from noon until 4pm and on Sundays from 10am until 4pm.

Members of the sports centre may use the pool for free — for non-members, the fee is £2 adults, £1.50 for under 14s. Children under the age of ten or weak swimmers must be accompanied by an adult swimmer over 18.

Swiming membership is available at £15 per month, £35 for a family of two adults, two children.
